Audio is billed per second, rounded up to the next whole second, not the next minute. A 10-second recording costs approximately $0.001583. No charge for failed transcription or an empty transcript.
Optional text polishing is billed separately: $0.60 per 1M input tokens and $3.60 per 1M output tokens. Audio duration is not counted as text tokens.
Use the same LocAI API key and prepaid AUD wallet. Voice billing is active. The first client release supports recordings up to 60 seconds per request.
LocAI Reader text-to-speech
$47.60 per 1 million input characters
Characters are counted as Unicode code points after text normalization. A 1,000-character reading costs $0.04760; a 1,500-character reading costs $0.07140. There is no output-character charge.
The same LocAI API key and prepaid AUD wallet are used. Charges are settled only after audio is generated successfully. English and Chinese reading are available.
